Based on their first four games, Gill and GT have two victories and as many losses, which is a mixed bag. The games have also shown a pattern, with victories and defeats occurring in turn.
Gujarat Titans :
It makes sense that Shubman Gill’s elevation to Gujarat Titans captain was the talk of the town, but Hardik Pandya’s return to the Mumbai Indians was more of a surprise. The 24-year-old was given the honor of leading a team that had placed second in its previous two rounds and won a championship.
The Titans, still stinging from their shocking loss to Punjab Kings, will need to get on a winning streak as soon as possible. The first task is to take on the Lucknow Super Giants at their arena. GT does have a well-rounded side with everything covered, however it’s questionable if they are utilizing all of their resources. especially when it comes to batting.
Additionally, the bowling has been a little inconsistent, with only Mohit Sharma and Noor Ahmad really dominating with the ball. The Titans will want everything to start working right away.
Lucknow Super Giants :
After winning two straight games, LSG is bursting with confidence. They lost their opening match of the tournament in Jaipur, but KL Rahul’s team received the much-needed boost from Lucknow, where they defeated RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Mayank Yadav’s lightning speed gives an added dimension to LSG’s already potentially dangerous side. Quietly, the team inspires confidence.
When it comes to their team, Lucknow’s strength lies on their constructional skill. Their bowling unit is very strong, and they have reliable and strong hitters. LSG had excellent bowling even before Mayank took the world by storm, and their impressive record while batting first is a good indication of this.
LSG’s stock has increased since Mayank entered the picture, and in home conditions, it will provide Rahul’s team a significant cushion when they play the best opponents. Although it’s early, both teams will be eager to cross the finish line for various reasons.
