Following a loss to the Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk, RCB will play their next three games at home in IPL 2024. Their efforts to turn the M Chinnaswamy Stadium into a stronghold have failed over the years, and they will face Punjab Kings on Monday, which will make matters worse.

The Chinnaswamy is renowned for its flat pitches and high-scoring contests, and the Kings’ lineup, which is full of powerful hitters, appears to be designed specifically for it. They will also be jubilant after defeating the Delhi Capitals in their first game, in which the majority of their hitters appeared to be in good condition.

The offcutters of Mustafizur Rahman had undone RCB’s batting against CSK. Arshdeep Singh, a left-arm seamer for the Kings, also possesses an offcutter and a newly acquired legcutter. At the Chinnaswamy, especially in a night game, the ball is not likely to grip, despite the Kings’ hopes that he performs a similar function for them.

The one bright spot in RCB’s loss to CSK was Anuj Rawat’s performance. Rawat struck for 48 off of 25 after they were down to 78 for 5, saving the innings. RCB will be able to address their death-overs issues if he can contribute consistently; in that portion of the previous season, they were the second-slowest batting side.

The game’s field features uneven grass, which has been a feature of several of the venue’s previous games. As in the India-Afghanistan game two months ago, it can begin slowly and a little bit irregularly before swiftly returning to type.

The site has hosted numerous T20 cricket matches, most notably the WPL first-leg match. Expect sixes at the site, as usual. Over the course of seven games played here last year, as many as 134 were struck, one approximately every two overs.
